Referees

  • District 9 Ref Association is asking that we use a booking form for all evaluation, exhibition and tournament games. The booking form will be posted to the OMHA website.

 

New Business

Jerseys

  • In order to save money, the Blues crested jerseys will go to Major Midget level, and the rest Rep B will use the Orleans Blues regular jerseys

  • Received correspondence from the Ottawa University Gee Gees about an outreach program they have. They would like to sponsor an OMHA evening during the Gee Gee hockey season
  • P. Werthner and P.Harrison will research and report back

  • Receiving many calls regarding IP program, referring people to IP information night on September 1
  • As Cumberland has no 4 year old program, we’ve been receiving many calls to inquire about our program

Mentorship Committee

  • A managers’ course is currently being put together, with a tentative date of early October

 

Seminars

  • September 27 is that date for the coaches development seminar. Registration will be open first to head coaches
  • We will hold a Minor and Major Atom orientation seminar on September 2 at the ORC, Hall D, directly following the IP orientation session (hall use to be confirmed)

 

Clinics

  • Body checking clinic will be held on September 4 for Minor/Major Peewee
  • Goalie clinic will be held on September 5

 

Goalie Evaluations

  • We will use the same evaluators as last year during tryouts. Asking for $250 to cover expenses

OMHA/Blues Wear

  • Waiting for pricing confirmation from Houle, then will post on website

 

Atom Tournament

  • New for this year will be an All Star Game. We have purchased jerseys using the Columbus Bluejackets colours for $1,700, paid for by the Atom Tournament operating fund.

Clinics

  • Coaches clinic will be held on September 18 and 19 at the ORC
  • Currently have 5 registrations
