SPORTS CONCUSSION
RESOURCE LIBRARY
The Sport Concussion Library offers a
wealth of information on the topic of sport concussion. It has
information for all audiences.
Athletes will be interested in the
sport concussion documentaries in the Press Box section. They
are encouraged to complete the e-module, and to read the personal
stories of those athletes who have suffered from this
injury.
Parents, Coaches and First Responders
(therapists/trainers) will want to explore the main library, the
free downloadable SCAT2 system, and the general information
section.
The Library

The Orleans Devils Win the Al Boone Memorial Classic
in Niagara Falls
The Orleans Devils (Midget A1)
decisively won five games to take gold at the Al Boone Classic in
Niagara Falls December 27 – 30, 2011.
The Devils faced opposition from the
Port Credit Storm, the Oakville Marlies and the Mississauga Barry
Bryans but resolutely won all three round-robin games. The Devils met the Sutton
Place Bruins in the semi-finals but overcame stiff opposition to win
4 – 0 and advance to the finals.
The Devils easily defeated
Mississauga 6 - 0 in the final to win gold.
Winning the tournament was a classic
team effort with the defence in three of our five games allowing
less than 10 shots. In
contrast our forwards generally got 30 or more shots each game. The team scored 39 goals but
allowed only 4.
The Devils in Niagara were: Pat Landriault, Pat Page,
Dev Brunet, Nic Johnstone, Tyler Paquette, Mat Nadeau-Lemyre, Mat
Vanasse, Zac Johnstone, Gabe Brunet, Nick Coldwell and Matt
Reekie.
A special thank
you to our Manager Kathy Bonsall who took such great care of all of
us.
